CCC Students Receive Awards for Fall Semester Art Major Project

The Coahoma Community College Fine Arts Department and the Rock & Blues Museum have been working together with the Fall Semester Art Majors.  On Thursday, December 10, we held a reception and exhibit of the students’ work.

The following students received awards for their submissions:
Michael Hall's “Guitar Headed Bluesman”; Cortise Brown’s Rock & Blues Museum Poster; Aramis Robinson’s 2nd Street Blues Party Poster; and Antonio D. Young's Clarksdale Caravan Music Fest Poster.

This project is possible with the help of funding from the Community Foundation of NW Mississippi.  In the Spring Semester, the Fine Arts Majors will come into the Museum for several visits to develop paintings and/or portraits based on something that inspires them in the Museum.  Their work will be displayed at a formal exhibit event at the Museum in April.
