Community Foundation Grant 2014

Once more we are so pleased to announce that we have met the Southern Bancorp Community Partners/Delta Bridge grant challenge of raising $10,000 and will now receive the remaining $50,000 of the SBCP grant.

With donations this past week from Robert Davis, Aubrey Preston, Elizabeth Uchiyama, Olga Hanson, Martijn de Koning, Jack Morrow, Diane Zilkowsky, Roger Stolle and long time supporter Kansas City Power & Light.

The “icing on the cake” was the notification that the museum had been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi!  Tom Pittman from the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi presented the Museum with the grant award this past Tuesday.

We want to thank everyone, our boardmembers, friends, businesses, visitors and grantors who have supported us in this effort and informed their net work and friends of our fundraising efforts. From now on we will be open everyday from 11-5pm including Sunday again! We are welcoming our new employee Thomas Hayes, who started working this week in our Museum. Marc Taylor will be your host mostly during the weekends. Thanks everybody, who made this possible for our organization and keeping us alive! Thank You,Thank you,Thank you, we could not do this further without your support!! It means a lot!

Come see us when in Clarksdale, we will be open to the general public as much as we can keeping america 's music heritage alive!
